One of my first forays into “composing” something with a purpose. I put composing in quotes, but it’s another one of what I consider a sketch. Just getting something created ready to come back to. Forgive the quality of the sound.
The story, as I had envisioned it, a small hooded figure come to the land of fairy tales and drops a sack. As the sun comes up the fables go about their daily lives and back home to have their supper and finally to bed. When the moon hits it zenith the sack starts to pulse waking everyone up from their slumber and leading them from their homes in a hypnotic trance.
They find their way to the pasture where a rave ensues for the rest of the evening, then as the dawn breaks everyone makes their way back to their houses and back into bed only to wake up tired and confused soon after.
They go about their lives unaware and the small hooded figure comes back to collect his sack and as he walks away it starts to gently pulse again, and we see everyone gently start to sway during their activities.
The visuals had the fables in rave gear…lol…
I haven’t quite gotten back around to animating this as of yet, but it was originally produced in Mixman Studio Pro and at some point later I figured out how to play it in Windows Media Player with the visuals on and record the screen.
As things becomes more accessible I think this might be worth revisiting.
